17 Jun 2025 Warrenton, VA This evening the CMM joined with the Fauquier Courthouse Chapter NSDAR and the Fauquier Historical Society/Museum to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the Battle of Bunker Hill and the gallant death of Dr. Joseph Warren, namesake of Warrenton, VA. Historian General Jeff Thomas represented the NSSAR, President Dr. Michael Weyler represented the Virginia SAR, and our own President Jim Bish was the Master of Ceremonies. Seven speakers from the hosting organizations told of the various stages of Dr. Warren's life. President Bish presented and read a proclamation by the Mayor and Town Council of Warrenton, honoring Dr. Warren that Tuesday, June 17, 1775 "be observed as a day of reflection on the work of Dr. Warren and encouraged all citizens "..to reflect on the legacy of Dr. Warren and the sacrifices made by the patriots of 1775 whose courage and conviction gave birth to our nation".
