The highlight of our 2022 Annual Meeting was the installation of our 2022 president and two other officers.  Tom Hamill was elected for a second two-year term, having earlier served as our president 2018-2020.  2020-2022 President Charles Jameson also received the title of "Honorary President" as a recognition of the superb job that he has done the past two years, leading us to our first "Best in Virginia" award since 2004.  Tom Hamill was also installed as Secretary, Bill Schwetke was installed as Registrar and Charles Jameson was installed as Historian.
Virginia SAR President and CMM dual member Jeff Thomas officiated in the installations.  Also attending were North Regional Chairman Dale Corey, Jerry Hubbard, prospective member Mark Crain, and Fauquier Court House Chapter DAR members Susan Hamill and Cat Schwetke.

Two new major projects were introduced and approved by the membership.  The first was a celebration of John Marshall's birthday, September 24th,  at his birthplace, Germantown, VA.  Fauquier County has made a nice park to mark his birthpace, and we will pursue placing an SAR monument in the park.

The second major project was to work wtih the community to host a reunion of the descendants of the 1775 Culpeper Minute Battalion on the weekend of October 25-26, 2025, to mark 250 years since the battalion was formed.
