30 May 2026 Winchester, VA Today two bus-loads of veterans of WWII, Korea, and the Vietnam-era, loaded on buses for a trip to Washington, DC in their honor. The honors began in Winchester where the was a send-off ceremony including an SAR Color Guard. Bill Schwetke represented the CMM and carried the Culpeper Minute Bn Flag.

28 Mar 2026 Warrenton, VA Today the Fauquier Court House Chapter NSDAR and the CMM conducted a joint New/Prospective Member Orientation at Warrenton Bible Fellowship in Warrenton. We started at 9:00 am with a continental breakfast and social time then held classes until noon. The first class was Bill Schwetke giving his talk on the Origins of the SAR/DAR/C.A.R. to everyone, then we split to separate classes for the DAR and C.A.R. Bill used four modules of New Compatriot Training from SAR University for the three SAR attendees. The attendees included ten DAR new members, one SAR new member, Eddie Daniel, and two SAR prospectives, Steve Hawkins and Jay King, and one C.A.R. member and one C.A.R. prospective. 20-21 Mar 2026 Colonial Williamsburg The Virginia DAR 2026 Annual Meeting in Colonial Williams burg this weekend is well attended with over 500 at the Friday Evening Opening Banquet. The Virginia SAR Color Guard, led by Gary Dunaway, presented the Colors at the beginning of the program. Virginia SAR President Darrin Schmidt brought greetings from the Virginia SAR. The CMM was represented by Bill Schwetke. Virginia SAR Members at the Saturday Banquet, left to rights: 1st VP and VPG/IT Ken Bonner of the Sgt Maj John Champe Chapter, Robert Bennett of the Richard Henry Lee Chapter, Bill Schwetke of the Culpeper Minutemen Chapter, David Welker of the Sgt Maj John Champe Chapter, and Bill Greaf of the Williamsburg Chapter. 21 Mar 2026 Culpeper, VA The Culpeper Minutemen Chapter VASSAR was asked to provide Color Guard at the Culpeper County Volunteer Fire Dept's Annual Banquet Celebrating 102 years of service to the Community. The Culpeper Minutemen DAR also helped to add to their 250th theme. Michael Dennis, Ed Daniel and Charles Jameson were honored to participate and to honor these Firemen.
17 Mar 2026 Remington, VA This evening nine members of the CMM Chapter gathered at the American Legion Hall in Remington for the March Chapter Meeting. The program was a demonstration of AI Presentation on Thomas Paine and the Independence Hurricane by Secretary Tom Hamill.
14 March 2026 Warrenton, VA The were 118 registrants for the first Fauquier Heritage Symposium at the The Warrenton Virginia Family Search Center, 585 Fauquier Rd, Warrenton, VA. The Culpeper Minutemen Chapter was one of ten heritage organizations that had a table for the six hour long program that included a free hot lunch for all who had registered. Our table was manned by Eddie Daniel, Tom Hamill, and Bill Schwetke. President Mark Crain joined us Friday evening for the setup. Many SAR brochures were passed out and contact forms were collected from interested participants. We spent a lot of time explaining the SAR and the Culpeper Minutemen of 250 years ago.
