May 29, 2020 Virtual Ceremony The South Carolina CAR organized a virtual commemoration for the 240th Anniversary of the Battle of Waxhaws. CMM President Charles Jameson provided a tribute via video link, presenting a wreath on behalf of the Chapter. Virginia Society President and CMM Past President Bill Schwetke also provided a video tribute for the ceremony. May 25, 2020 Culpeper Masonic Cemetery CMM President Charles Jameson arranged for members of the CMM Chapter SAR and CMM DAR and Ashby's Gap CAR to place flags on veteran's graves at the Culpeper Masonic Cemetery. The cemetery is the resting place for Revolutionary War General Edward Stevens, Colonel David Jameson and also Private Daniel Colvin. In all about 40 graves were marked ranging from Revolutionary War veterans all the way up to veterans of the Vietnam War.
May 14, 2020 Virtual Ceremony On May 14th, CMM President Charles Jameson, Past President and Current Virginia Society President Bill Schwetke and CMM Color Guard Commander Michael Dennis attended a virtual ceremony commemorating the 75th Anniversary of VE-Day. The ceremony was organized by the Col. James Wood II Chapter in conjunction with the Hidden Springs Senior Facility in Bentonville, VA. Current JWII President Marc Robinson and Past President Dale Corey are also dual members of the Culpeper Minutemen.
5 May 2020 Bealeton, VA CMM Secretary Tom Hamill awarded the Chapter Middle School Brochure Contest winners via Zoom on 5 May 2020. The winners came from Ms Erin Merrill's 8th grade Civics class from Pennington School in Manassas. The Chapter Winner was Chelsea Perez - whose brochure on the Articles of Confederation would go on to win the Virginia State Competition
