Presentation of the SAR Military Service Medal to Jason Quintern.
In January we inducted Dr. Jason Quintern so soon after we were notified of his approval that we did not yet have his membership certificate.  Today that was rectified and as we try to do for every new member who has served in the military, law enforcement, or fire safety, we presented the appropriate medal, the SAR Military Service Medal in this case, to Jason along with his Military Service Corps Certificate.  Bill Schwetke traveled to Charlottesville to make the presentations.  Jason was at the UVA Hospital in Charlottesville where his oldest son, Joshua, has been undergoing cancer treatment for several months.  Remember Joshua and the Quintern Family in your prayers.  We are working on SAR applications for all three of Jason's sons.
