Additionally, it was decided to proceeded with a call for donations from the general membership to the Great Bridge Battlefield and Waterways Foundation to their 1775 Society Membership. This will require raising $1775 in donations. More to come in a Chapter-wide e-mail.
Treasurer Bill Mutziger brought in a sample of one of the new Patriot grave markers for all to examine. And President Tom Hamill brought in the supply of new Culpeper Minutemen Battle Flag pins. It was decided that any member who would like to exchange their old pin for a new pin can do so at no cost. Any member liking a new pin without exchange - or any non-member who would like a pin - the cost is $2 per pin. See Bill Mutziger or Tom Hamill to get a new pin.
Finally, the BOM read the submission for the George and Stella M. Knight Essay Contest submitted by Lea Hamill from Liberty High School in Bealeton. It was the only entry submitted for the chapter to review. The members of the Board thought that it was well written and endorsed it as the Chapter level winner and it will be submitted for the State Level competition.
