The 131st NSSAR Congress was held in Renton, WA. Bill Schwetke represented the CMM as support from many dual members. At the Congress Bill parricipated in the Color Guard and was elected Trustee from Virginia.

o5 Jul 2021 Berkeley Plantation, Charles City County, VA Today was a very special day as the Virginia SAR, with the Williamsburg Chapter in the lead, marked the grave of a signer of the Declaration of Independence, Benjamin Harrison. President Charles Jameson led the CMM contingent and presented the chapter wreath. All three CMM participants, President Jameson, Mike Lyman, and Bill Schwetke marched in the Color Guard and Bill Schwetke participated in the musket salute.
04 Jul 2021 Mount Vernon, VA Independence Day at Mount Vernon for the Virginia SAR started with the traditional march up the Bowling Green at Mount Vernon, then down to the Grove for our ceremony. It finished with the march to General Washington's Tomb and the presentation of wreaths and carnations. The CMM were represented by Bill Schwetke, who marched in the Color Guard.
4 Jul 2021 Culpeper, VA The CMM hosted an Independence Day event for the community of Culpeper, with assistance from the DAR and other members of the community. CMM participants included President Charles Jameson, Color Guard Commander Michael Dennis, Tom Hamill, and Bill Schwetke. Charles, Michael, and Bill all marched in the Color Guard, while Tom was the master of ceremonies in uniform. The highlight was a portrayal of George Washington. The Color Guard also provided a musket salute. The program began with a flyover by the Commemorative Air Force, the posting of the colors, and a discription of the flags flown at the monument. Distinguished speakers included Culpeper Mayor Mike Olinger, Culpeper County Chairman Gary Deal, Congresswoman Abigail Spanberger, and General George Washington (in portrayal). The CMM presented an SAR Flag Certificate to the Town of Culpeper for the display of the US Flag at the monument. The program ended with a three-round musket salute by the CMM Color Guard. 03 Jul 2021 Mount Airy Plantation, Warsaw, VA Today the Virginia SAR marked the grave of Francis Lightfoot Lee at his home, Mount Airy, near Warsaw, VA. The James Monroe Chapter was the host and their president, Charles Belfield, was the master of ceremonies. President Charles Jameson led our chapter participants and presented the chapter wreath. Four primary chapter members participated: President Charles Jameson, Tom Hamill, Mike Lyman, and Bill Schwetke, all of whom participated in the Color Guard. Bill Schwetke also participated in the musket salute. Francis Lightfoot Lee signed the Leedstown Resolves, the Declaration of Independence, and the Articles of Confederation. He was a delegate to the First and Secnd Virginia Conventions and the First and Second Continental Congresses.
