27 May 2015 Culpeper, VA A large crowd of parents and friends, including four members of the CMM, gathered to salute the accomplishments of the Eastern View High School JROTC cadets. A pot luck dinner was served, followed by the awards. The CMM presented a flag certificate to the EVHS Honor Guard. They honor our flag by correctly displaying it at many events throughout the year. They are an example to us all. Accepting the certificate for the Honor Guard is their commander, Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Corbin Stynes. We called Cadet LTC Corbin Stynes back to the podium to receive the Bronze JROTC Medal and a check for one hundred dollars for his outstanding accomplishments this year. Not all of the awards went to the cadets. We have noticed over the years that the EVHS Marine JROTC unit has become truly outstanding in many ways, and attribute much of this to the exceptional efforts of their Senior Marine Instructor, Major Dale Prodzinski. His efforts clearly merit the SAR Bronze Good Citizenship Medal, which we awarded to him in front of his cadets, their parents, and the EVHS principal and assistant principal. Later in the program Major Prodzinski recognized a few significant supporters of the EVHS JROTC program, including presenting EVHS JROTC Coin #103 to our very own Don Jennings. A few years earlier Jerry Hubbard was presented with coin #50. We are very proud of both of them and their work in our behalf with the JROTC.
