30 Sep 2023 Colonial Williamsburg This Saturday the Williamsburg Chapter marked the graves of four Revolutionary War Patriots at Bruton Parish in Colonial Williamsburg. Bill Schwetke presented the CMM wreath and marched with the Color Guard. The graves marked included: James Pate Anderson

19 Sep 2023 Culpeper, VA The Culpeper Minutemen Chapter's September meeting was at the Mountain Run Winery and also via Zoom. The program featured a talk by Jim Bish on graves in Culpeper County. State Secretary Tim Dioquino presented awards from NSSAR and the Virginia SAR to CMM members including the NSSAR Stephen Taylor Award which is presented each year to the compatriot who by research and writings has made a significant contribution to the preservation of the history of the American Revolutionary era and its patriots 09 Sep 2023 Culpeper, VA The CMM co-hosted the annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony in Culpeper this morning. This event is also recognized the the SAR National Color Guard as a national "Massing of the Colors" event. The SAR provided four Color Guards from members of six chapters: Col. James Wood II, Culpeper Minutemen, Fairfax Resolves, George Mason, Maj K.M. van Zandt (TX), and Sgt Maj John Champe. Five CMM members participated in the Color Guards. The Remembrance was comprised of five separate ceremonies, four marking the crash of each of the four airplanes and one to honor Ken and Jennifer Lewis, United Airlines flight attendants who were on American Airlines Flight 77 that was flown into the Pentagon: 08:46 - Fire Department 09:03 - Courthouse Green 09:37 - Wine Street Military Memorial 10:03 - Intersection of Davis and Main 10:30 - Ken & Jennifer Lewis Memorial Bench in Yowell Meadow Park In addition to the four SAR Color Guards, Color Guards from the following organizations participated:
Liberty Hill Culpeper Sheriff's Dept VFW Post 2425 And the following organizations also particiapated in the ceremony: American Legion Post 330 Bugles Across America Culpeper Volunteer Fire Department Heritage Girls Troop VA042 Salem Volunteer Fire and Rescue Virginia Defense Force 09 Sep 2023 Warrenton, VA At today's meeting of the Fauquier Court House Chapter, DAR, President Tom Hamill brought greetings and addressed the membership. Bill Schwetke also attended.
09 Sep 2023 Arlington, VA Today the SAR President General presented an SAR wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown at Arlington National Cemetery. The CMM was represented by Bill Schwetke who commanded the SAR Color Guard and Doug Schwetke who marched in the Color Guard..
