Culpeper Minutemen Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) local member Jim Bish's latest book has been nominated by the Virginia State Society SAR for the NSSAR Stephen Taylor Award. This award recognizes research and writings that have made a significant contribution to the preservation of the history of the American Revolutionary era and its patriots. The winner will be announced at the SAR National Congress in July. The book is available on Amazon in paperback and for Kindle and is currently Amazon’s #1 seller in new releases in US Revolution and Founding books. There is also a good chance that Jim will have some at our Chapter Meeting on May 16th at Mountain Run Winery. If you read the book, you will see why we think, despite the fierce competition, that this book is the likely winner. Do you believe the story about George Washington and the cherry tree - you will!
